It defaults to high effort; use /effort xhigh for harder tasks. Requires v2.1.154 or later.
Changelog
Release notes for Claude Code, including new features, improvements, and bug fixes by version. Auto mode is now available on Bedrock, Vertex, and Foundry for Opus 4.7 and Opus 4.8 (opt in by setting CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_AUTO_MODE=1). Plugins in .claude/skills directories are now automatically loaded, no marketplace required. Added claude plugin init to scaffold a new plugin, autocomplete for /plugin arguments, and the agent field in settings.json is now honored for dispatched sessions.
