Rewind file changes with checkpointing
Track file changes during agent sessions and restore files to any previous state. File checkpointing tracks modifications made through the Write, Edit, and NotebookEdit tools during an agent session, letting you undo unwanted changes, explore alternatives, and recover from errors. Only changes made through those tools are tracked — Bash commands like `echo > file.txt` or `sed -i` are not captured by the checkpoint system.

Track and display todos using the Claude Agent SDK for organized task management. As of TypeScript Agent SDK 0.3.142 and Claude Code v2.1.142, sessions use the structured Task tools `TaskCreate`, `TaskUpdate`, `TaskGet`, and `TaskList` instead of `TodoWrite`. The examples set `CLAUDE_CODE_ENABLE_TASKS=0` to keep showing `TodoWrite` for sessions that have not migrated yet.

Use Claude Code features in the SDK
Load project instructions, skills, hooks, and other Claude Code features into your SDK agents. The Agent SDK is built on the same foundation as Claude Code, so SDK agents have access to the same filesystem-based features. When you omit `settingSources`, `query()` reads the same filesystem settings as the CLI: user, project, and local settings, CLAUDE.md files, and `.claude/` skills, agents, and commands. Pass `settingSources: []` to run without these.
